Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception
Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception

In the last book Artemis was mind-wiped so he forgot all about fairies and underground fairy cities, but one fairy still remembers him and is planning revenge. In the beginning of this book Artemis steals a painting called "The Fairy Thief", but when he starts to examine it in his hotel room his fairy rival tries to assassinate him. Butler saves Artemis but Artemis still gets severely wounded but Holly, who has already been attacked by the same fairy, heals him. The fairy captures them both and leaves them to die in the middle of an unused theme park crawling with trolls. Butler ,whom Holly couldn't save because of his bulk, tries to find Mulch to help him find Artemis. During all this the fairy tries to get humans in contact with fairies to wipe out her own kind. She has transformed herself into a human girl. After Mulch and Butler save Artemis and Holly they try to stop the humans from discovering faries. You'll have to read this book to find out who Artemis's enemy is and to see if they stop humans from discovering fairies.
The thing I like most about this book is all the plot twists especially when someone very close to Holly dies. Other people might like how two geniuses fight to see who is smarter.
