This story is about a girl named Ida B Applewood. Her life was perfect til the day she found out her mother had cancer. After that everything changed, she had to start going to public school and part of the apple orchard was being cut down and sold in order for her father to pay her mother's hospital bills. Will she be able to turn the tables around in her life.

I enjoyed this book because I really wanted to know if Ida B's life was going to get better. The sense of me knowing farther and farther into the story that her life is getting better just made me want to read more. This is why other people will enjoy it too.
