Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code by Eoin Colfer

In the beginning of this book Artemis Fowl and Butler,his bodyguard, meet with a billionaire named Jon Spiro to show him his latest invention the C Cube. While showing him what the C Cube could do it picks up LEP probes. Spiro asks how much money it's worth so he could buy it,but Artemis tells him it's not for sale and that he wants Spiro to invest in his soon to be Fowl Industries. Then Spiro takes the Cube from Artemis and Butler gets shot and Artemis has to save him before he dies. Artemis tells the People what he has done and they team up to break into the Spiro Needle to get the C Cube. Artemis is brought to the Spiro Needle as a prisoner. Then Holly frees him and they open the vault but just as they are about to get the Cube something happens and Artemis goes to Spiro's rival campany's headquarters to steal their technology. Spiro is captured and at the end Artemis is mind-wiped so he doesn't remember anything about the People.

I like this book because you don't know what is going to happen next or what Artemis will do next. Like when he saves Butler or tricks Spiro and when he hides a disk full of fairy files to make him remember.
