Title: Castle in the Air
Author: Dianna Wynne Jones
ISBN: 0-06-447345-7

This book is similar to the story of Aladdin. So, a poor carpet dealer named Abdullah lives in the city of Zanzib. One day his boring old life changes, thanks to a mysterious traveler. He sells Abdullah a magic carpet. That very night, something strange happens to Abdullah. When he wakes up in the middle of the night, he finds himself in an unfamiliar place. As his eyes begin to wonder around what he thinks is a dream, a woman approches him. This is where he meets the princess for the first time. One day, a djnn appears and takes the princess to be one of his many wives. He makes a wise choice to go rescue his princess. Along his journey to where he thinks the djnn might be resting, he encounters people who later become very useful to him.

This was an interesting book, although some parts I didn't enjoy much. I liked how some of the characters made it into this book and had an important part. I also likes how Abdullah's relatives held him back from the recue mission by setting him up to get married with one of the two ugly princesses. One thing I didn't like was how the battle between the djnn and the princesses and Abdullan. I think others will like thid book because I liked it.
