[Interview with the Vampire]
By. Anne Rice
ISBN : 0-345-33766-2
The room is full of smoke. And there is a tape which is enough for the story of one life. There, the interview with the vampire get started.
Louis Pointe Du Lac. His life has change after the last sunrise. The change which suffered him most was that he have to kill people to keep his life. And inside his mind he has a question "What is Vampire? Why did God makes Vampire?".
In the end, he leave Lestat to find other Vampire so that he could find the answer.
As you know, Anne Rice is a genius writer. Her literary style is very unique.
I like the way that she describes character's state.
Especially the part that Louis talking about the Mediterranean sea when he was crossing the ocean.
"I wanted those waters to be blue. And they were not. They were the nighttime waters, and how I suffered then, straining to remember the seas that a young man's untutored senses had taken for granted, that an undisciplined memory had let slip away for eternity. The Mediterranean was black, black off the coast of Italy, black off the coast of Greece, black always" And I really love the each character in this book.(specially Cloudia and Armand!!)
You could also meet this story by movie. I'm not recommending it but, you would enjoy.
