One day Violet, Klaus, and Sunny, the three Baudelaires, were at Briny Beach and hear unfortunate news from Mr. Poe, that their house caught fire and killed their house and destroyed all their possesions.They have no one else to live with except Mr. Poe so they stay with his family, while Mr. Poe finds a suitable guardian for them. He finally finds Count Olaf who is either their "third cousin four times removed" or "fourth cousin three times removed."
Very Unfortunately Count Olaf is a greedy♨ man. He forces the children to do very long chores. He strikes Klaus in the face.
He also wants Violet to play his bride, and tells them that Justice will play the judge that marries the happy couple. But Klaus found out Count Olaf's plan, that he will marry Violet through play!But according to the law the bride has to sign a document by right hand but she signed it with left hand, which means the wedding is off!!
Justice Strauss said that she will take care of the Baudelairs, but Mr. Poe tells her that a relative must take care of the children. Then Mr. Poe drives the children to their next guardian.
I like this series of books, but the most impressive book was The Bad Beginning, this book was more interesting than any other series. And the event with the Count Olaf was more catchy than other books. And this book is so clever with the events.
